經(jīng)過四年多的籌備和排練，史上最昂貴的大型音樂史詩劇《指環(huán)王》日前在多倫多威爾士王子劇院舉行了首演。

音樂劇《指環(huán)王》以托爾金的同名魔幻小說改編而成，全劇總長3個半小時，共耗資2700萬美元。據(jù)制作方介紹，該劇動用了55名主要角色演員、500多位群眾演員和17部升降機(jī)，道具重量超過40噸。由于對劇院的硬件設(shè)施要求很高，世界上能滿足該劇演出的劇院屈指可數(shù)。

據(jù)透露，《指環(huán)王》的主要制作班底來自安德魯·韋伯的“真有用戲劇公司”（Really Useful Theatre Company），劇中主角、霍比特人弗洛多的扮演者是英國演員詹姆斯·洛耶。音樂劇的音樂由印度著名電影配樂大師拉曼譜寫，融合了東西方多種音樂元素。

其實這應(yīng)該是一部短命劇，評論各界對于其評價普遍不高，雖然名為音樂劇但是在長達(dá)4個小時的劇中唱段只有不到四分之一，反而大量運(yùn)用聲光電等高科技手段來營造氣氛，已經(jīng)有些偏離音樂劇的本質(zhì)。
但是作為指環(huán)王小說的一個周邊產(chǎn)品，還是值得收藏的。
