Aerosmith是七十年代最流行的硬搖滾樂隊之一，在樂隊成立后的將近30年中，他們渾濁的重型布魯斯風格為重金屬和硬搖滾建立了一種標準。他們當初使用的配器風格(鋼琴、管弦樂和失真吉他)至今仍是搖滾抒情曲的經典套路。Aerosmith在抒情和搖滾兩方面均十分出色的能力使他們在七十年代中期極度流行。
