可愛小孩子Musa一直與家人住在非洲村落內，生活無憂，直至一次神秘疾病的肆虐下，令他成為孤兒。Musa只好遠行至巿鎮內尋找叔叔，希望能過點好日子。Musa帶備僅有的糧食及父親送給他的大鼓，孤身上路。Musa得到貨車司機Nobe的熱誠幫助，終于到達了約翰尼斯堡，并嘗試尋找工作。可是巿內滿街孤兒，根本無人愿意聘請他們，Musa命途相當坎坷。艱辛歲月還是挨得住的，Musa意識到肆虐村落的疾病正是“世紀絕癥”愛滋病。稚氣未過的Musa 已長大了，他自問有著非一般使命──就是重返屬于自己的村落，告訴村民真相……

《總有愛鼓勵》是有關一個小男孩的感動旅程，也是講述一個全球性問題。這電影最重要的信息是“活在真相中，不要活在無知的世界里”。
