Future Islands are a Post-Wave [1] band based in Baltimore, Maryland. The band is composed of Gerrit Welmers (keyboards & programming), William Cashion (bass, acoustic & electric guitars), and Samuel T. Herring (words & voices). Future Islands formed in January 2006 in Greenville, NC.
