Remember the hit ABC "reality" series Making The Band? Semi-finalists Bryan Chan, Mike Miller, and Ikaika Kahoano do. And apparently they made some band, because, though they didn't end up in O-Town, they're now making records and personal appearances on their own as the new group LMNT, while the show's other former competitors are still sitting at home, shining their shoes and hoping the phone might ring.

The members of LMNT hail from many different places, but have united as one band under pop. Kahoano was originally asked to join O-Town, but opted to return to Hawaii instead, where he was born and raised in a showbiz family (he and his younger brother, Kamuela, had just released their first CD, Fruit From The Tree, when Kahoano was picked for Making The Band). After being approached to form LMNT, Kahoano decided he missed performing and accepted, but his entertaining days still may not last forever: He's only doing this while on break from his studies at the University of Hawaii. He plans to become a doctor.

Chan hails from Pleasanton, California, graduating with a marketing degree from UC Santa Barbara. He's already recorded three gospel CDs, and unlike Kahoano, he has no plans to return to his previous life as an event coordinator. Meanwhile, the Hackensack, New Jersey-bred Miller was performing the thankless task of runway modeling when he was tapped for the Making The Band program. Some guys have all the luck, huh?

Original LMNT member Matt Morrison left the group because he missed Broadway, reportedly, and 18-year-old Jonas Persch--a Salt Lake City native and a huge Brian McKnight fan--has taken over Morrison's duties. Persch was pursuing a career in the music industry when this plum job landed him right where he wanted to be. Again, for some people, it's a perfect world.

With the new LMNT lineup in place, and their single "Juliet" and album All Sides wowing audiences everywhere, the sky's the apparent limit for these young studs.
