With Chak De India!, Salim-Sulaiman had a demanding job of composing music for an offbeat film under a big banner. In addition, given the theme of this film, the music had to be entirely atypical Bollywood music miles away from the typical yet well-received composing formulas. Salim-Sulaiman deliver a fine output given the nature of the theme.
