Artist Vs Poet formed in 2008 as a Pop/Rock band based out of the Dallas-Ft Worth area. They are a three piece band consisting of Joe Kirkland (guitarist/singer), Dylan Stevens(lead guitarist/vocals), and Jason Dean (bassist). The band released their acoustic 8 song album “Remember This” on April 25th 2012. “Remember This” charted in the top 30 on the iTunes alternative charts. Soon after Joe Kirkland tried out for season 3 of The Voice in hopes to help Artist Vs Poet gain more exposure. He was picked up by judge Adam Levine and went on to give several acclaimed performances by all three judges. After finishing up The Voice Artist Vs Poet immediately went into the studio to co-record and produce their full band 8 song album “Keep Your Secrets” alongside singer/songwriter Mat Musto (Justin Bieber, Mike Posner, etc...).
