When Power Stars Collide is a Perth based IDM/downtempo/electro-house musician. I try to propel ideas and imagery through my music, that's my priority. Working with an idea in mind and expressing it through sound. I feel so much more driven when I'm working with a goal or purpose in mind. It brings me closer to the music, turns it into something more than just ear candy. When I was first finding my grips with electronic music, it took a while for it all to 'click'. For a while it never really did, it was just something to toy around with. But after being exposed to breakcore for the first time I felt like a whole new world had been opened up to me. From there I decided to take production seriously and have been experimenting and sculpting ever since. I was born in 1994, so naturally I feel a bit like the runt of the litter. But things are shaping up and coming along really well. When Power Stars Collide's debut LP, Attraction To Light, is out through the IDMf netlabel. When Power Stars Collide is also the the winner of New Music Transmission's 2010 featured song of the year award.
