意大利新世代歌神沙費納有著一副高亢昂揚的男高音嗓子，其中所蘊藏的情緒隨時等待著為動人的歌曲全然決堤。自幼沉浸于歌劇世界的他，以普契尼歌劇‘波希米亞人’(La Boheme)、柴可夫斯基作品‘尤金奧尼根’(Eugene Onegin)兩出戲碼于歐洲嶄露頭角，青少年時期偶然接觸U2、The Clash、Genesis等搖滾樂團后，沙費納決定將歌劇與搖滾凝聚成撼動人心的新樂風--"流行歌劇"(Pop Opera)，90年代末期，經由意大利著名鋼琴家/制作人Romano Musumarra(席琳狄翁法文專輯與男高音帕華洛帝專輯制作人)的挖掘，2001年以處女專輯【Insieme A Te】進軍國際樂壇，一首融合古典詠嘆調和搖滾味道的磅礴戀歌"Luna"紅遍歐陸，一炮打響沙費納的知名度，專輯銷售在荷蘭開出五白金紅盤，分別在法國、比利時、葡萄牙、韓國獲得金唱片認證，同時躍登Billboard世界音樂專輯榜季軍，全球銷售超過百萬張，同年夏季榮膺電影‘紅磨坊’原聲帶邀約，與該片男主角伊旺麥奎格合唱"Your Song"，迅速拓展其流行音樂版圖，甚至還贏得"Your Song"主唱-樂壇老將Elton John的賞識，重新與沙費納合唱這首歌，發行首周直闖英國金榜TOP 4。 The early 21st century saw the rise of Italian singer Alessandro Safina, who has combined his opera roots with modern-day pop music, to create a striking, hard-to-categorize style. Born in 1968 in a small town of Siena, Italy, Safina became interested in opera at an early age, and sang in stage productions across Europe of such operas as Puccini's La Boheme and Tchaykovski's Eugene Onegin. It wasn't until he was late in his teens that Safina became an admirer of pop and rock music, drawing inspiration from such bands as Genesis, the Clash, Simple Minds, and U2. Shortly thereafter, he began to combine the two styles together. In the '90s, Safina was discovered by renowned Italian pianist/composer Romano Musumarra, and the pair quickly began to record together, in an attempt to bring Safina's dream of creating a "soulful new pop opera music" to fruition. The end result was Safina's self-titled debut, issued in September of 2001 (released on the Interscope label in America).
