Taking an organic approach, strings dominate the instrumental tracks that are mostly somber and delicate in nature, keeping in line with the film's underlying serious theme of a confirmed bachelor facing the unexpected responsibility of fatherhood. Particularly effective is the lullaby-like "It's a Boy." Ex- E Street rocker Little Steven (with help from Bon Jovi 's Richie Sambora , David Bryan , and Tico Torres ) contributes the rootsy ballad "The Time of Your Life," and his performance is surprisingly poignant. The set is rounded out by Marvin Gaye 's smoldering classic "Let's Get It On" and a yearning turn by soulster Tyrone Davis with the horn-laden "Turn Back the Hands of Time." 更多>>
